Identifying Existing Resources and Gaps in Service

Before you continue building your pitch, we encourage you to take some time to reflect on the following questions.

  • Who are your stakeholders and what resources do they have available to them?
    • Career center
    • Grad schools
    • Biomedical depts
    • Post-doc affairs offices
    • Key leadership/advocates
  • Who are your potential collaborators?
    • Research affairs
    • Technology transfer
    • Research development
    • Alumni relations/associations
  • What gaps in service currently exist at your university? What students are not being serviced?

Activity: Identify any gaps in service at your university to compare with any programs that currently exist, and add these to your program development plan. Make sure to outline key stakeholders and potential collaborators in your pitch. We encourage you to share your program development plan for feedback on the GPS Biomed Padlet Networking Forum.
